With the launch of title update 1.1.11, Assassin’s Creed Shadows now has an end-game mode called Domains. You can pursue different levels of challenges across several new simulations and earn prominent rewards. Also, there’s a dedicated in-game shop in this game mode, where you can use the rewards and purchase late-game weapons, gear, and items.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Domains in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

How to access the Domains in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

While the Domains game mode was added alongside title update 1.1.11, you cannot immediately access the segment. First, make sure to complete the following quests in AC Shadows:

At the end of the Buried Secrets quest, the MOD tells you about the Domains mode and the location you need to visit to access it. Travel to the Hidden River area in the Yamato region. Then, speak with the MOD to start pursuing the Domains in AC Shadows. You will also receive 15 Tokens from MOD, which are required to start the challenges.

How Domains work in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

After speaking with the MOD and obtaining the Tokens, interact with the nearby Access Gateway prompt. Afterward, you can see the details about the Domains and their challenges. Here are the important points:

• There are 10 levels of Gateway challenges. You need to use Tokens to generate them.
• The higher the level of the challenge, the harder it is.
• Each challenge has one or more randomized Modifiers, which make the level more difficult. They increase as the Challenge Level increases.
• There are five maps available, and one is selected randomly when starting a challenge.
• Each Challenge Level boasts four Samurai Daishos. After you defeat all of them, win the final boss fight to complete the level.
• The locations of the Daishos and the boss remain the same every time.
• At first, you need to complete the challenges one by one to unlock the next challenge.
• Completing a Challenge Level rewards you with XP and MODcoins. It gets better depending on the Challenge Level.
• You can use the MODcoins to acquire different Exploits from the MOD. These give you various buffs and bonuses while accessing the Domains. However, these are limited to Domains.
• You can also use the MODcoins to purchase permanent gear, weapons, and items for Naoe and Yasuke from the MOD’s shop.
• Initially, the MOD rewards you with weapons and gear after completing specific quests (can be tracked on the Objective Board).

Initially, you will only be able to access Challenge Level 1 in Domains. You need to progress through them to unlock all 10 levels. Here is the info about their difficulties and rewards:
